One thing that came out of my own coaching was my desire to write. I recently published my first book! If you’re a new teacher or know a new teacher, please share this with them! Drinking from a Fire Hose: A Survival Guide for New Teachers The following are books that supported me on my own journey to rebuild my life from the inside out. I hope they may help you too. This book put into perspective my belief that I had no choice and needed to stick out what I was doing. This book helped me realize why I felt so dissatisfied in a job that I liked and was good at. This book was a step-by-step guide for evaluating where you are and where you want to be. This book is a reminder that our value is NOT our productivity. This book reminded me about the power of big ideas, creativity, and getting out of your own way. This book gave me a strategy for dealing with big feelings: anxiety, guilt, pressure. This book is encouragement to go for it. And to KEEP going for it. This book reminded me of the value of introspection, especially in a society that values talking. This book was a beautiful reconnection to the natural world and a reminder of the importance of gratitude. I mean, the subtitle says it all. I didn't think I took much value away from this book. Then I became a person who flosses their teeth and writes every day. It works.
